What Is Lucid Dreaming
What is lucid dreaming or what is a lucid dream? Well, it is a very simple and easy explanation.
Lucid Dreaming or a lucid dream is being aware that you are dreaming while you
are dreaming.
See how simple that is! Just remember though, that’s just a
definition, not the 'how-to' process of achieving lucid dreaming.
For further information on this topic, please visit my Lucid Dream Tips page.
Most people, in their search for what defines lucid dreaming, are really looking for tips on how to perform lucid dreaming. That will be covered in another post.
To keep things simple, I’ll separate regular, non-lucid dreaming by using a lower case ‘d’ for dreaming. For lucid dreaming, I’ll use an upper case ‘D’ for Dreaming. Don’t worry if you forget this, I’ll try and remember to make this statement at the top of each dream, or Dream, I decide to share. Got it? Good!
An example of a non-lucid dream would be something like, "I was dreaming of my wife Dawn, and we decided to go to the store." As opposed to a lucid dream, which would be, "I was Dreaming of my wife Dawn, and we decided to go to the store." See the difference a capital D makes? It's simple yet works.
So, once again, what is lucid dreaming and what is a lucid dream? It is a dream during which the dreamer is aware that they are dreaming. Remember, it's when you are actually dreaming! It's not after the dream is finished, or when you awaken. That's just remembering your dream.
